Welcome to Project: Dabble, where we celebrate curiosity, creativity, and the joy of lifelong learning.
I’m Lauren, and this blog is where I share my journey as a lifelong learner. I believe that dabbling – trying things out without the pressure to master them – can bring joy, meaning, and mental vitality to our adult lives. Whether it’s picking up tai chi, learning the history of a travel destination, or experimenting with digital photography, self-directed “learning projects” such as these have a way of expanding our world.
If you’re here, chances are something’s been tugging at your curiosity. Maybe you’re already deep into your own learning adventures, or maybe you’re just wondering what to try next. Either way, you’re in the right place.

About Lauren

I’m a licensed elementary teacher and former journalist. I currently work as a digital media manager for a K–12 public school district, where I get to tell amazing stories about our students’ learning adventures and “aha” moments. I live in Cleveland with my family and our spunky West Highland terrier, Rex.
Being surrounded by curious kids and inspiring educators has motivated me to keep learning myself. I love exploring new hobbies, taking classes, traveling, and reading about everything from paleontology to martial arts. I started Project: Dabble to share what I’ve learned and to encourage others to reconnect with the joy of learning.
